Sapphire crystal is the second hardest substance after diamond. Extremely high technology is required to process such an ultra-hard substance into a dome shape. Flat-shaped sapphire glass is common in entry-class watches, but dome glass is rarely found in this price range. Such hardness of the glass leads to an extremely high resistance to scratches. 

To improve legibility, a clear anti-reflective (AR) coating has been applied to the inside of our sapphire crystal. This coating cuts down on glare and reflections, but also does not have the colored tint visible on many AR coatings.

Super-LumiNova® is a brand name under which strontium aluminate–based non-radioactive and nontoxic photoluminescent or afterglow pigments for illuminating markings on watch dials, hands, and bezels, etc., in the dark are marketed. This technology offers up to ten times higher brightness than previous zinc sulfide–based materials. Super-LumiNova is based on LumiNova pigments, invented in 1993 by Nemoto & Co., Ltd. of Japan, as a safe replacement for radium-based luminous paints. Nemoto & Co. was founded in December 1941 as a luminous paint processing company and has supplied paint to the watch and clock industry for over 70 years.

As the name implies. Italian leather is leather manufactured in Italy. Italian leather is one of the three most popular leathers in the world, along with "bridle leather" from the U.K. and "cordovan" from the U.S.

It is a high-priced leather used not only for watch bands, but also for bags, wallets, shoes, and even car interiors, among many other products.

Its beautiful appearance and long-lasting durability is highly valued in the fashion and design fields. Tanning methods are naturally derived from vegetable-based raw materials. As a result, Italian leather is very strong, resilient, and smooth.

In addition, since the leather is "oiled leather" that has been soaked in plenty of oil during the tanning process, the oil that has permeated the leather will dissolve as it is used, gradually increasing the patina of the leather. One of the charms of this leather is that you can enjoy the change of its feel and color over time.

Minor scratches are also not a worry for our Italian leather straps. Rubbing the scratch with your finger or nail will disperse the oil soaked into the leather and make it less noticeable.
