Powering the watch is the Cal. 9085, a new Japanese automatic movement developed by MIYOTA. We’re delighted to offer our customers an early opportunity to experience this new movement. When fully wound, it runs for approximately 80 hours, allowing you to set it aside on Friday evening and return to it on Monday morning with the watch still running. This extended power reserve brings added convenience for those who enjoy rotating between watches.  

Roman numerals make their first appearance on a KUOE dial. Applied Roman numeral indices and traditional plume-shaped hour and minute hands recall the character of antique watches, while a heat-blued steel seconds hand adds a subtle touch of colour. Its distinctive blue hue is achieved through a traditional heat-treatment process.  

The two-layer dial pairs a circular-brushed lower layer with a semi-matte upper layer. The contrasting finishes create depth and catch the light differently as the watch moves.  

The attention to detail continues within the movement. Geneva stripes decorate the rotor, complemented by heat-blued screws on the bridges and rotor.  

Available in Ivory, Blue and Green, each dial is paired with a complementary Italian-made leather strap. Two case sizes offer a choice of proportions: a compact, classic 35mm or a 39mm with a little more presence on the wrist. This model can be viewed and tried on at our Kyoto Flagship and Omotesando stores. Orders are currently accepted exclusively online.
