KUOE Watch Operation Manual
Precautions
■ In the rare case that leather or metal bands cause an abnormal skin reaction such as redness or rash, stop using them immediately.
■ Do not wear the watch in especially hot conditions (i.e.- sauna) as the metal may become hot and cause burns.
■ Do not wear the watch while exercising, as vigorous exercise may break the watch and cause injury.
In the unlikely event that the watch is dropped and broken, clean up the small parts immediately to avoid the risk of children swallowing them.
■ Wipe the watch free of dirt with a soft cloth occasionally to avoid sweat and dust-related residue on clothing.
■ Please note that the warranty does not cover damages or injury caused by modifying the watch or using it incorrectly.
■ Do not use our watches while diving as our water resistance is not certified for professional diving.
Warnings
1. Temperature
Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for extended periods of time, as it may cause a malfunction or shorten the battery life.
2. Magnetization
Exposure to magnetic objects (i.e.- smartphones, speakers, laptops, magnetic fastners etc.) may magnetize the watch and cause a malfunction. Prolonged exposure or exposure to excessively stong magnets may even magnetize anti-magnetic watches.
3. Vibrations/Impact
This device is only resistant to light vibrations or impact. Vehicles or equipment which produce strong vibrations such as motorcycles, carving machines, and chainsaws may also cause malfunction.
4. Date adjustment
Please note that on watches with a date function, the date, day of week, and month should not be adjusted between the times of 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.
Screw Down Crowns
■ If your watch has a screwdown crown, unscrew it by turning the crown counterclockwise. Once unscrewed, proceed to set the time and date as usual.
■ After adjustment is complete, turn the crown clockwise while pushing it down to screw it in. Please be sure to screw down the crown completely. If the crown is not fully screwed down, the water resistance may be degraded and dirt and moisture may enter the watch.
Automatic Watches
1. The mainspring can be automatically wound through natural arm movement while wearing the watch. The mainspring can also be manually wound by turning the crown.
2. To restart a stopped automatic watch, we recommend turning the crown to wind the mainspring and setting the date and time before wearing it. To wind the mainspring, turn the crown slowly in position A to the right (toward 12 o’clock). The crown is designed to turn free to the left (toward 6 o’clock). When fully wound, the mainspring slips and it is not possible to overwind. We recommend winding the crown 40-60 full rotations in order to wind the watch to full.
3. When fully wound, our automatic watches run for around 40 hours in typical conditions.
4. It is recommended to wear the watch for more than 10 hours per day to maintain accuracy. When the power reserve is low, the watch may run inaccurately. To maintain accuracy when not being worn daily, turn the crown to wind the mainspring at the same time each day.
5. If the mainspring has been fully unwound and the watch is stopped, winding the mainspring may not immediately start the watch. This is because the mainspring torque is weak at lower wind levels. When the mainspring is wound to a certain level, the second hand will begin to move.
